Mind Map & Review for Jeff Glover’s Deep Half Guard DVD set

I finished up watching Jeff Glover’s Deep Half Guard set yesterday and can say that I really enjoyed the DVDs.  The first DVD covers sweeps and entrances into the deep half guard.  The second DVD shows one technique from deep half-guard (and it’s a sweep to get out of it when you’re on top) and everything else is from other positions.
The instruction was clear, each technique was show from multiple angles and most techniques were also shown at full speed.  The instruction was presented by Jeff Glover and Ricardo “Franjinha” Miller was his uke.  Jeff did a great job of keeping the material interesting.  I was able to sit and watch this DVD straight thru, something that I’m not able to always do with other videos.
My final takeaways – escapes presented on the first DVD aren’t necessarily specific to deep half-guard and are things that I feel can be incorporated into my own training pretty quickly.  The second DVD covers a lot of material and I think that almost all of it will be things that I can use, especially the section on the Darce and the half-guard passes.
